Trying to install a paraport card was created by KaosOveride
I am sorry if this is posted somewhere else I did try searching for it
Also first post and new user...
I have a MYDIYCNC mill and I also ordered from the same a paraport card
The only thing that has brought up anything on it is SY-PCI10004.... I read one review that says this card will not work with linux.
I am hoping that some of the people here at linuxcnc can prove them wrong.
I am very new to linux, but i do have the driver/utility disk that came with the card.
Any help on installing this card would be greatly appreciated

Hi
Have a read of this FAQ from this section of the forum
www.linuxcnc.org/index.php/english/forum...-parallel-port-cards
Then use the procedure outlined to get info on the card and install it
Most MOSCHIP cards work, with the exception of early 9805s
You do not need any drivers, if it is going to work just plug it in and run lspci -vv and it will show up
regards
