Hi everyone,
I have a problem with this PC.
SKU-No.: AT496AV
processor: AMD Phenom II X4 B97
I tested this PC - booted the PC from the Live CD (10.5) and linuxcnc works well. After that I installed the system (without network connection) on the HDD, reboot and:
Now when I start linuxcnc the software didn't start. When I start the latency test, the windows open, but the test didn't run.
Than I boot the PC again from the LiveCD, know booth work.
The problem is only if I boot from the HDD. The crazy thing is, that some time (1 of 20 boots or so), the software runs without problem.
What can be the problem?
I'm sorry I didn't have the debug.txt and linuxcnc_print.txt files, it was not my PC. The owners send me only pictures of them.
I hope somebody have a good idea .

Can you rotate the photos? My neck won't bend that far...
What does uname -r report when it does not work booting from the HD?

You also need to post all your .hal and .ini files (easiest to zip the whole config folder)
There is no explanation where these came from or what they are for.
The most obvious suspect is that they are from an earlier Linuxcnc version which is not compatible.
Are you running the exact same configuration each time? Both from CD and on HDD?
Don't see how you could have been the first time, when you had nothing installed on the HDD?

The print shows 2.6.32-122 ( I downloaded the images and rotated them, my neck doesn't twist that far either)What does uname -r report when it does not work booting from the HD?

OK thank you for the commends.
The problem is that I didn't have the PC here in Austria. The location of this PC is Abu Dhabi.
And the owners of this PC was not able to send me the information as file (only picture).
Because of that I didn't think, that I get the other information.
Anyway if I get new information, I come back to you.
Thanks

sorry I didn't have really more details, but:
Image of the LifeDVD: www.thecooltool.com/44/LinuxCNC_2-2-5-1.iso
Yes we stared the same configs (LiveCD and HDD).
This LiveCD and also the installed systems from this CD works on other PC very well.
