USB to EPP adapter? was created by tjamscad
We have PPMC cards in our machines. Can LinuxCNC run over a USB to EPP adapter?

Hi
Your ppmc cards were all in your configs, have you bought a new computer without a parport?
If so use a PCI parport card.
There are pages upon pages on the forum about why USB won't work.
It is not so much that they are not fast enough, so much as that they are inconsistent with no guarantee of data delivery within a timeframe.
But even that is simplistic and not quite the full picture.
But the answer is definately no
