Hi

Does anyone have a suggestion for a known working mini-itx motherboard for linuxcnc use with a PCI slot ?

I'm planning to replace the old P4 controller pc and it would be good to reuse the mesa 5i25 card, so the pci slot requirement.

Gigabyte GA-J3455N-D3H was mentioned in some of the posts, I believe it requires the newer kernel (rt-preempt version).
Or maybe a GA-J1800N-D2PH ?
Something else ?

Yes, I know how to search for boards based on needed properties.

But, for example @mini-itx.com limiting the boards with pci slot gives 3 boards:
Gigabyte GA-J3455N-D3H
Jetway JNC9KDL-2550
Jetway JNF9D-2550

Jetways are quite old so the only real possibility is Gigabyte (on that shop).
Someone mentioned the board on some posts but the final results were missing, so it's not clear if this board will work correctly or not.
There is also mentions about older J1800 boards but no exact models.

Just thought that someone may have tested or is running linuxcnc on similar board and can suggest some model...

Not 100% helpful but...

I had a GA-J1800-D2P and could not install Linux on it (UEFI, I think). Apparently later revisions were better, but the one I had is probably still in a box somewhere.
I can't say whether the same problem will apply to the GA-J3455N you mentioned.

My Lathe is running a Jetway JNF9C-2800 and that has been good I accidentally did a latency test last night (badly calibrated touchscreen :-) and it was < 3000nS.

www.mini-box.com/Gigabyte-J1900N-D3V might be an option.
