Hello, interested in some thoughts about using LinuxCNC in a virtual machine on a MacBook Pro and connected to a 3 axis router via a 7i92 and Gecko 540? Existing system is using a parallel port from an old Dell desktop to the G540.
Thank you

LinuxCNC requires a real time OS so it is not viable in a VM.
VM's are great for simulation only.

I run LinuxCNC on Mac VMs all the time, and I confirm that there is no chance at all that such a system can run hardware.
