Is this PC Adequate for LinuxCNC was created by Project_Hopeless
I'm running the Mesa 7i96 card Ethernet card, for hobby 4-axis router. Is a Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF i5-3470 (4-core) 3.20GHz 4GB a decent machine to run Linux CNC? I can get a refurbish for a good price?

It should be fine. I don't have direct experience with that model but a similar
machine, the Compaq 8300, works very well with LinuxCNC and real time Ethernet
and these are very common and inexpensive:

I have used one of those Dell's for a 2.5x1.5M router, it was a 9020 i think with an i7, and it looks the same as the one you are looking at. It works perfectly for over 2 years now.
As a side note, i also had a HP 8200 from PCW's advice since i could not find a 8300, it also worked good for nearly a year and then it died. Not HP's problem for sure, i checked it and someone before me must have used a cheap power brick to power it as it had 4 blown capacitors. Did not feel like changing them.
