Latency Issue 7i96e

I wasn't sure which sub forum to place this so I though I'd start here.

So I had no issues jogging and Homing the machine during the setup all month. Now about 5 minutes into a test run (air cutting) my spoil board I get a "Unexpected realtime delay" error.

So I ran the latency test with 12 GLX gears, copied files and ran system monitor. attached are the results.

Now this is a hobby machine with relatively slow drives So I don't need extreme performance. Should I try a longer servo period? How long would be two long? Any other tips what to look at? Where would I adjust the servo/thread period?

Any other recommendations?

You can try 2 ms, unless you have very high acceleration you
should not notice any difference

Also if you have a Intel MAC on the host PC you need to disable
IRQ coalescing as described in the hm2_eth manual page.

Thanks.

I changed the coin battery in the PC so I probably need to check the BIOS that virtualization is off correct? Any other settings to disable in BIOS?

I would disable any speed switching or power saving modes
(EIST, Turbo mode, C1 states above C1 etc)

Also hyperthreading, speed step....
Moving this topic to "Computers and OS's" as this is computer issue.
