Asrock J3455B-ITX which software version? was created by zieluch
Hi All,
I build dedicated computer for linuxcnc based on Asrock J3455B equipped with 256 ssd drive and 8GB of ram. This will be only computer running linux cnc even without internet connection. I will run mesa 7i76e for communication. My question is which linux version should I install on this machine to get most of it ? Recently I install around 10 version from debian 10 2.8 to. debian 7 2.7.14 but had several issues with updating the linuxcnc to 2.8 (with internet connection) and connecting to mesa(I mange that only on debian 9 Strech and linuxcnc 2.7. Any advice? The most recent version LinuxCNC 2.8.0 Debian 10 Buster PREEMPT-RT ISO should be right one ?
Thanks in Advance
Michal

Debian Buster with 2.8 is the official release:
linuxcnc.org/downloads/
Or if you do not mind a bit of work, you can have Linux Mint 20 with LinuxCNC:

Hi Tommy,
thank you for replay. I install back buster 2.8 and manage to get connection with mesa using wicid as network manager won't work for me.

You can install "network-manager" and remove "wicd".
It works much better.
