Is this PanelPC suitable for LCNC ? was created by macsddau@linuxcnc
I have to convert my intial LinuxCNC PC (1U Rack 19" with Asrok Mother board J3355B). I look for a new computer.
I have found this model :
Advantech TPC-110W-N31A
Do you think it usable for LinuxCNC motion control (not sim) with MESA card (when they will be available again) ?
Will be difficult to get RTPre/RTAI software running on this machine ?

I think you would be a lot better off with an Intel x86 CPU as the ARM would be an unknown quantity.

The IoT box seems rather expensive.
I paid £84 for a Beelink BT3 Pro when I was creating the 2.8.0 ISO as I needed something UEFI to test installs on. It looks like it will work fine as a real LinuxCNC machine, I have it earmarked for my P&P controller.
It's obsolete now, so not as easy to find as it was then.

Might be OK, and is less of a gamble at least. (I just looked for the cheapest Mini-PC on Amazon, I am not particularly recommending that one)
