I am trying to get full screen using Virtual box and the iso image.
I tried ctrl+ f  and I get nothing *attachment fullscreen1.
Tried Virtual Box options: *attachment fullscreen2. - same small window. I searched the Forum but didn't find anything on full screen.

Normally it's quite easy, but I can't get a full screen on Linux CNC.

SOLVED by installing VB guest additions - many tutorials on the internet on this.

Moved to "computers and OS's".

LinuxCNC is software that runs on Linux.
You started 2 new topics about issues with virtual box.
Search the web for Debian and virtual box as LinuxCNC official ISO uses Debian Linux.
Debian is the operating system you have issues with, not LinuxCNC.

The login screen is usually at a lower resolution than the system when logged in.
Is it the resolution the same when you logged in? Then you might change the resolution in the Debian settings or install the Virtual Box Guest Additons...

Hey thanks a lot
Hey. We fixed it. I installed guest additions VB. Now In my case I was not able to resize, but all else worked.

Here is a list of all tutorials on the topic. It was kinda hard getting the guest additions to work on the Debian Linux CNC iso in Virtual box. but did it.

You need to install the kernel headers, and then reinstall the guest additions.  Then resizing the resolution, etc will work.

Now that I am at my computer (and remembered), here is from my notes that I use when the updates inevitably break the resolution on my Virtual Machine (VirtualBox):

1. Install new kernel headers:
sudo apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

2. Insert the guest additions CD in VirtualBox (Devices --> Insert Guest Additions CD image...)
3. Navigate to:
media/<your_login_name>/<guest_additions_folder_thats_there>

4. Install the guest additions:
sudo ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

5. Restart
sudo shutdown -r now

After it restarts, you may have to do View --> Auto-resize Guest Display and then maximize should work.

Hope that helps.
