EOI in getting SPI going on the RPi5 solved read First post for updated info

Just got an RT enabled kernel loaded on my fresh pi5, any docs you could point me to for the spi stuff (unless it's just running current kernel) and the mesaflash option? I will be connecting to a 7c80, but am doing all the prep work outside of the enclosure (mainly so I can clone the SD card once its base config is done.

Ok this thread was primarily for the development of a Linuxcnc spi driver for the RPi5.
This as been done, but you will need to build either 2.9 or master from source.
There is a more recent thread discussing this.
Apart from the new driver everything that applies to RPi 4 and either the 7c81 or 7c80 is relevant.
There is a quite large thread on the 7c81 that you may want to read, the 7c80 manual should have information on using mesa flash.
Setup and mesa flash was not the point of this thread . Now that a driver has been developed this thread is pretty much moot.
