MPG wheel not responding was created by RoberCNC
Hi, my MPG steering wheel stopped working, like that from one day to the next, suddenly. The rest of the buttons that I use work well, so I rule out that it is communication, it is just the pulse generator to move the axes.
It has not suffered any damage, I have put new batteries in it and I have restarted the machine several times to rule it out.
Does anyone have an idea of what could have happened, what could be the cause or what can I do to find out the fault or is it simply that the wheel has broken?
The model is WHB06B, I attached a configuration file that I had operational in case it is of any use.

If everything works and you have not edited the files, that would point to a hardware failure, so use a DVM to check if the encoder wires are not cut and that power is suplied to encoder, then check if the signal pins change while rotating the encoder wheel.

Hi Tommy, how long!!
I hope you're okay, I still have those servos there somewhere
I understand that I can do it by showing HAL configuration to see if the pins change state, the rest catches me out of my game, it is wireless and I would have to gut it.
Thank you very much, greetings.

I'm good, still kicking hard but doing some non CNC related stuff mostly, thank you for asking.
Glad you're still kicking, also.

Yes, that would be the first step before gutting it, if they show working there then my reply above can be skipped.I understand that I can do it by showing HAL configuration to see if the pins change state, the rest catches me out of my game, it is wireless and I would have to gut it.

We have to fight!!!
It is 4 pins A, B, Vcc and GND. Between Vcc and GND I read 1.5v so it is powered. and between A and B I also read voltage, which varies as I turn the wheel. How could I uninstall and reinstall the component? Now as a last option, in desperation.

1.5V is most probably not enough for it to work, it should be 3 to 5V depending on other hardware, but usually 3.3V or 5V.

Then there is a lack of voltage, the power supply is with two 1.5v batteries.

I have observed that now the word "RESET" appears persistently on the LCD where "CON:60%" should appear (current running mode according to the manual).

Does anyone have an idea how to reset the device? I have solved the voltage drop but "RESET" continues to appear on the display.
