G5 in lathe mode? was created by yugami
I guess I could reconfigure for X Y vs X Z but I just started a new project where I want to use G5 and it reported back that it must be in XY plane. Is there a easy way to get this to work on my lathe?

I think that the NURBS code is (carelessly) written to be explicitly in XY. There is no reason that the actual plane in use couldn't be mapped to the inputs on the way in and reversed on the way out, but I don't think it has been done.

I think that unless you want to to change the code then the options are an XY lathe or creating the curves in a CAD package and exporting as lines and arcs.
