g76 Question abuout clearance from material was created by hhandresen
Hi,
I'm trying to do thread via g76, but after a cut, when the tool is going back to beginning, it's not far away from the material and therefore chrashing the thread.
I can't find the correct parameter to set the clearance
Anyone can help ?
--
(I'm doing 20mm thread and the tool go out to 20mm when returning to start.)

It is the "I" number. According to the docs:
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.7/html/gcode/g-code.html#gcode:g76
It should be a negative number for external threads.
