I'm just getting into setting separate coordinate systems, I previously just let the CAM set G54, and I would zero on the appropriate corner for every operation. I'm doing more fixture stuff now and tend to have to shift the part zero around alot. At the moment. I'm setting G54-G56 to different locations on my vise with the Z height dependent on whether I have a fixture under the part. It dawned on me that if I move the vise on the table I'd either need to reset the offsets or have a way to shift them all together, since they are not changing relative to each other.
I'm confused about whether to use G52 or G92 or something else to accomplish this. I looked at the docs but I'm still a bit confused. So if I have G54-G56 already set up and I were to re-home the machine or move the vise, what do I do to shift all coordinate systems into place?

If you change your fixture I would use G92 as it is always persistent even after a machine reset. G52 I would use inside a gcode.
