tool radius compensation left. was created by occesar_0
Hi
I'm trying to cut some pieces in my cnc router, I designed some pieces, in rhinoceros 4.0, after that i did a conversion of format file (.dxf) and then I used the dxf2gcode software to generate the appropriate code.
Well, after making the cut, I realized that the lenghts weren't accurate because of the tool diameter and because of the route followed (center), so I tried to change the g code and use G41 tool radius compensation left.
dxf2gcode had one option to use the tool radius compensation, but it doesn't work because it changes the shape of my figures, I don't know why.
So I start to edit the program by myself and I used the examples in the g code manual, but every time that I wanted to run in emc2, I got a lot of errors maybe because of the program structure.
Does somebody knows how to change from G40 to G41?

It is very hard to guess what you might be doing wrong without the errors and perhaps the snippet of code that caused the error. My SWAG is you didn't lead into the cut properly.
I suggest reading this chapter in the manual.

When I write G41 instead of G40, i got this error message:
"Length of cutter compensation entry move is not greater than the tool radius"
I do understand what it means, but after do some changes, the same happens again.
Seems to be that my program is reading some parameter, which is not in the program structure.
I attached the file, I need some idea please .
By the way, my T1 diameter is 1/8"

I didn't see where G41 was in your program... I'm guessing again your getting gouging errors with lots of small moves although I can't test it at the moment...

why does my g42 cut the outside path instead of inside ?
if i use g41 it goes to the inside of my dim. i've read
www.linuxcnc.org/docview/html/gcode_tool...-Radius-Compensation
and can't understand dat . the lead-in looks like it is out of the pocket.(but then it doesn't show z)
