I wanted to revert a gmocappy config back to axis for testing. Originally I started wth axis and only moved to gmocappy after I had a working config.

After a little bit of cleaning up to remove the gmocappy specific stuff, Axis opens but it refuses to go out of e-stop.

Its a bit strange as when it first opens, my estop warning light is on. When I press the software estop button to clear it, the warning light goes off and but the software estop remains enabled and I can't clear it..

I Don't quite quite know where to look as there are no clues in the terminal window when running from the command line as shown below
note: MAXV     max: 350.000 units/sec 21000.000 units/min
note: LJOG     max: 350.000 units/sec 21000.000 units/min
note: LJOG default: 120.000 units/sec 7200.000 units/min
Warning: Forward kinematics must handle duplicate coordinate letters:xx

Note:
Individual axis homing is not currently supported for
KINEMATICS_IDENTITY with duplicate axis letter <X>

note: jog_order='XYZ'
note: jog_invert=set([])

Any help would be appreciated. I've attached my hal and ini files

I am sure there is another thread with a similar issue but i can not find it.
Have a look at hal configuration and monitor anything related to e-stop.

What happens if you un-comment this line?

#net remote-estop estop-latch.0.fault-in <= hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-00

I would certainly be watching the pins around the estop-latch to see if they are behaving as-expected.

Andy, Thanks, sorry for taking so long to respond to this. I spent a few hours tonight on this and I think it may be as a result of a faulty proximity switch on the shared upper home/limit switch on the Z axis. It does not change state when it "sees" a metal object. I'll swap it over in the morning and see what happens. I'm hoping my intermittent limit switch fault will also disappear once the sensor is replaced.
