touch-off with three reference points

It would be very usefull to be able to set a XY reference position as the center of a cylinder or a cylindrical hole.
From three touch-off references around the cercle on the XY plane, it is easy to calculate the center of the cercle and set this as the reference position.
Is it possible to add this possibility to axis, or make a python script???
Doing this by hand is rather boring...
