I'm new to Linux, and LinuxCNC, but after a period of learning, trial and error and houres in forums i succeeded to operate my CNC withe the AXIS interface.
I tried using Fusion360 for CAD and CAM, but realised i'm unable to open NC files in AXIS. some forumes sugested altering the INI file, but i didn't help and i still having the same Error sign:
"G-code error in simple box.nc
Near line 2 of
/home/user/linuxcnc/nc_files/simple box/nc:
Bad chracter ':' used"

Anyone have any idea? suggestion?

Thank's
Shahar

It sounds like you have been able to open the NC file, so have made the required changes, but that the NC file created is not in the correct format.

What post-processor are you choosing in Fusion360? You need to choose the LinuxCNC one (or, if that is not there, the EMC2 one. EMC2 was the old name for LinuxCNC)

Ignore that message from Singh. I think he posted in the wrong section, it had nothing to do with your question.

A,amazing how simple it was, thank you very much!
When i specified the post-processor as LinuxCNC it immediately saved it as a ngc file, problem solved.
