Jogging z axis while machine is running was created by Jbcuts
So I’ve got a random question, (CNC Plasma) has anyone ever seen or figured out how to “unlock” the jogging of the z axis while the machine is running. I want to eventually put a torch height controller on it but for the time being it would be nice to be able to adjust it while running.

Use the thc_toma config for plasma, it has inputs for the THC and you can use those inputs with switches to control the Z axis while cutting. You will also have initial height sensing if you already have a floating head with a switch in it.
You do not need a THC for this.

If you run master branch, you could use external offsets to nudge the torch up and down. Plasmac has this feature.
