Characters incorrectly displayed in AXIS 2.9.0~pre0 was created by PT
Dear Linuxcnc Fellowers,
I manually built Linuxcnc 2.8 for simulation on Ubuntu 19.04, and it worked well. After upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, I manually built Linuxcnc 2.9.0~pre0 for simulation. The newly built AXIS gui displayed the characters incorrectly as illustrated in the image attached.
I found a similar post by Adam Maszynotwór "After installing Debian 9 with LinuxCNC 2.9 no display of characters in the AXIS", but my situation is different and I don't have another computer to changed to as Adam did.
Here is some information of my built,
git clone github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc.git
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
gcc (Ubuntu 9.3.0-10ubuntu2) 9.3.0
Python 2.7.18rc1
Could someone please help and kindly inform me what addition information to include.
Thanks,
PT

Thanks so much phillc54. I made the font changes recommended from the link and recompiled. The problem is fixed.
