can't sort in the axis open dialog.

I have no idea why but I can't sort by name, size or date, I can't even change the files view to "list" in the linux cnc open dialog

I did a comparison between the internet browser, and linux cnc, and as you can see in the internet browse open dialog give me the option to sort by name, size or date. but in linux cnc all I have is just a scrollbar from left to right.

in general searching files on Linux is not that good
on the ISO install 2.7.x debian the Tkinter Dialog file open uses a Filebrowser plugin that search files while entering in the dialog

Is there a way to fix it?

I'm not talking about searching, just to sort by date,

It is a very basic function to be able to sort the files in the folder, to be honest I can't even think about any other program that prevent me from doing that.
