Hi dears,
Iḿ new to this community, currently building a BF20 based CNC with mesa card. Iǘe installed linuxcnc in a computer just to start getting familiarized with the enviroment and to build some confidence.
I have set the default editor to geany, but when I try to edit any of the examples that come with linuxcnc, I get an error stating that "The file is not writable".
Is there something about the permissions I have to change? How?
Thank you all!!!

Edit read only, then save to any of your normal folders like Desktop or Documents.
The included files are inside a folder with different permissions on purpose so they can not be edited.
