When trying to edit G-code file nothing happens was created by kmeld
Hi,
I have a problem with launching edit G-code file from Axis file menu.
Normally, as far as I recall, when I had a G-code file opened in Axis and than I had go file->edit text editor was automatically launched and current file opened.
now when I do that nothing happens. editor is not launched.
How do I solve this problem?
Cris.

Check the entry for EDITOR in the [DISPLAY] section of your .ini file (eg EDITOR = gedit) and make sure that entry (eg gedit) actually opens a text editor when used in a terminal.

For the official ISO, editor should be mousepad, for Mint with Mate DE it should be xed, etc.

You could just install gedit... no idea if it's a good editor or not, but it is an editor.
sudo apt install gedit
sudo apt install gedit
