TEsting feasability for widgets et al in axis

SO, now that i have a few py scripts that are super useful, I would like to integrate them into axis....on a deeper level.

I would like to make widgets in axis, that are buttons to open the py scripts, and i would like a pane to be created and then closed of the py script.

is this feasible? is it doable without entering the source?

You may place any code you want in .axisrc file (see docs for more details)
It's executed somewhere after GUI is set up so you may modify/add anything you want.
But beware that you have to maintain this code by your own
