Homing backwards? was created by bqgray
Hi,
I'm a newbie to all this. I have just set my machine up with stepper motors and home/limit switches.
With both the X and Z axis I have the home/limit switch setup to register at the maximum table travel.
I have configured the Y axis to register at the minimum.
For some reason, when I home the Y axis, the machine starts searching in the wrong direction... moving to higher number locations rather than lower number locations.
How can I get emc to search in the other direction for the home switch?
Thanks,
Bill

Please read the manual.
In the integrators manual under configuration / INI / homing / configuration .
you must negate the home_search_velocity to change the direction.
I'm assuming you didn't use stepconf to make the configuration.
If you did then i need more info such as home location, table travel , home switch location.
