Can I scale down in size? was created by cwebs
I have a DXF that I converted to gcode with "DXF2GCODE". How ever it is to large to fit within the limits of my router. Is there a way to scale it down ? Other then learning Cad, CAM and EMC, I think emc is great. Thanks Carl

Hi Carl,
There is no "scale setting" in EMC that I know of. The easiest way is to open up the DXF and scale the drawing the send it back through your g code converter. Depending on how you are set up you might need to move the drawing after you scale it so your favorite point is where it is should to be. For me I put the left rear corner of the part or material at X0 Y0 and the top at Z0.
Regards
John

I found the answer! After playing around in "DXF2GCODE" I can rotate and scale it. This little programs does more then I first knew. Thanks Carl
