Displaying a float with pyVCP was created by kkuehn
I'm attempting to display the current that my spindle (Huangyang vfd over RS485) is utilizing with using pyVCP and axis.
The spindle speed and other spindle control all works fine, but I can't get the current to show on pyVCP.
I have no idea what the issue could be because it even displays the correct numbers in hal meter (I can increase/decrease the speed of the spindle as see the vfd.OutA pin range from about 4 to 8, which would make sense as current for my spindle).
The halpin for the current is vfd.OutA, as documented here: linuxcnc.org/docs/html/man/man1/hy_vfd.1.html
I've tried using that pin and also linking it a signal called "spindle-current" and using that, neither worked.
Attached is my xml file, thanks for any help you can provide.

Have not done this for a long time, but is there another file with the same name and the hal extension in that folder ?
The pins to pyvcp should be set or net-et in that file.

That was it, thanks.
Since you said you aren't using pyVCP do you prefer another method for making the GUI?
