It seems like you may be on to something, there is no pyvcp in that list. I have also added other photos in case there is something that may help.

Pins

hal files in 'ini' file

Oh, I just realized, 'pyvcp' panels are for the AXIS GUI.
Gmoccapy uses 'GladeVCP'

Ok, not sure how I do that as I used the stepconf wizard to create the config files and it created the pyvcp files.
Do I need to install a different version of linuxcnc if so which one as I just selected the latest 2.9.4 version?

Thanks again for taking the time to help, I really do appreciate it.

Gmoccapy provides it's own pins for spindle feedback which you can connect in your postgui halfile:
Code:
gmoccapy.spindle_feedback_bar gmoccapy.spindle_at_speed_led

This will display the current speed as a bar indicator and the spindle-at-speed signal as a red/green indicator to the right of it.
Example form the docs (speed 0 and spindle-at-speed True):

Awesome, that fixed it, your help is most appreciated  image missing /media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png
Do you know why it would create pyvcp files when I selected to add the speed display when running the stepconf wizard, did I put a tick somewhere that I shouldn't have?
