Axis selection and move it by encoder handwell was created by Banda
Hello to Everybody!!
I would like ask if somebody can help me.
I have build my equipment with Axis X,Y,Z,A,B,C and all is working well.
Emc2 is very nice!
Now I would like build a box with a selector of 6 position to associate to each axis.
(Position 1 Axis X, Position 2 Axis Y, Position 3 Axis Z, Position 4 Axis A, Position 5 Axis B, Position 6 Axis C) Each position will be associated at one input for example at the parport LP2 .
I have 3 parallel port on my Pc with Ubuntu 8.04 (Lp0 , Lp1 ,Lp2).
On the same box I would like connect one encoder with channel A and B on the same parport LP2.
This will move the selected axis by the selector in positive or negative positions in the value of minimum or maximum travel area of each axis.
In this mode I will use it for move each axis like in jog mode with very accuracy.
The scale of movement will be used from the button under the sign + and - of the jog dialog box present on the AXIS interface.
Please can somebody help me to realize it?
I'm not new on EMC2 but I don't have the experience to write the code myself
Very thanks for Your help !!
Kind Regards!!!
Luciano

I had to edit out some characters that made your message not show up. Only standard punctuation is allowed or the forum software won't display the message.
Take a look at the MPG example.
