should halscope have threads? was created by russtuff
I'm following the manual but having trouble launching halscope. I get the following;
And there are no threads to choose from (the example in the hal manual lists 989 and 49.4).
loadusr halscope
halcmd: halscope: could not find thread: 'THREAD (null)'
halscope: could not set horizontal multiplier: 'HMULT 1'
halscope: config file 'autosave.halscope' caused 2 warnings
And there are no threads to choose from (the example in the hal manual lists 989 and 49.4).

It appears that there are no threads running in your currently loaded Hal configuration.
Are you launching Halscope from within LinuxCNC or within a custom Hal session at the command line?
If you are launching it within a custom Hal session at the command line, have you issued the "start" command to start the threads running?

I've been running from the command line and using "start'.
Just my luck. I hadn't been running halscope from within axis as it never seems to work, but its working now
I'll take what I can get.
