Serial port addressing was created by bright
i picked up a serial port card to give me a few more inputs to use along with my parallel port. i'm having a problem with the addressing, any help would be appreciated

You might have to prevent the kernel serial driver loading.

Try running "modprobe serial" before running LinuxCNC.

(use lsmod to see if there actually is a serial driver loaded)
