you can even control the laser power by spindle speed

if you setup a new router use a 3D printer setup as the light got unlimitespeed ypou can go 500+mm/sec
you wont reatch tis speed on nallscrew go for timingbelt and as of low weight to be moved the 6USD 2meter 3D printer Gt2 sets are to be considerd

if you do not need to be on CNC controller at all
there is a inkscape LASER setup that uses a rrduino shieldl L293D 4USD that controlls 2 Nema17
