show analog value with halshow was created by Reinhard
Hi,
I try to watch an analog value from a 7i73 card attached to a 5i24 card.
I run halrun, where I started 'hostmot2' and 'hm2_pci' with config parameters.
Then I created a thread and attached the function 'hm2_5i24.0.read' and issued "start".
From another terminal I started halshow and selected the analog pins, but none of them showed a value.
What am I missing?

I found it out by myself: I had to add the write function too to get smart serial comm into work.
Not obvious at first sight, but obvious on rethinking
