Hello
I have a HY620 with vfdmod that was running flawless. I recently added a braking resistor and now I have quite often Err4 when braking.
I didn't troubleshoot this yet but this point out another issue : The error is correctly display in my custom panel but this has not impact in LinuxCnc.
If I don't notice the error on a tool change for example and proceed, the spindle won't start and I will crash.
I select "Stop" on the VFD to clear the error.
How can I link this VFD error to for example the E-Stop signal ?

You can use HAL component
estop_latch

Might have to set the "ramp down" to give more time for the spindle to slow down, done on the VFD.I recently added a braking resistor and now I have quite often Err4 when braking.
The error signal has to also be wired to one of the control inputs in HAL, like suggested to e-stop or machine enable, or if there is spindle-amp-fault. I am sure the 2.8 and master have amp-fault inputs as i have them in use, but i use no spindle so never checked. The error is correctly display in my custom panel but this has not impact in LinuxCnc.
