Setting up HALUI was created by madguernseyboy
Hi all
This used to work on version 2.7. i am upgrading to 2.8 and now i cant get it to work.
I get the following error
postgui_call_list.hal:10: Pin 'halui.mdi-command-00' does not exist
Can someone point out my mistake?
Files attached.

ok so i realised i forgot the command in my ini file
HALUI = halui
but it still doesn't work.

Hi,
If you have enabled Halui, you could see the port and pins in halshow before even adding a pin in your
postgui_call_list.hal file.
If you see halui is working, then you can try to connect it in your halfile.

I managed to get it to work.
I re-ran stepconfig and used that to install HALUI and Pyvcp
Now it works. just it cant find my 0<files> now.
step in the right direction i suppose

If they were in the config folder then they should be in a backup folder in there after a 2.8 conversion.
If they were i the nc_files folder, then they should still be there.
Unless you did a clean install of OS and LinuxCNC in which case they will be gone unless you keep backups.

All fixed.
I made the mistake of calling my subroutines o100.ngc
when the should be 100.ngc
