I'm a HAL newbie, so apologies in advance if I've got the wrong end of the stick. I needed to hook up a stepgen in the HAL to the spindle component and it seems to me that the description in 'man spindle' doesn't match what's reported by halcmd when I ask 'show pins spindle.0.'
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
PS everything is from a fresh DVD install from Dec 2022

"spindle" is an unfortunately-named standalone HAL component, which has a manpage.
For the actual "spindle...." pins you need to look at the motion manpage:
