It has been a while since I have had a Precision Matthews mill. Looking through my hard drive I can not find my old HAL files however I did still have this active low fwd/rev pdf from Peter saved (same as mentioned in post #263761 ). I don't recall off hand if the fwd/rev com is low or high so check before wiring and update accordingly.

The first relay arrived DOA and returned to Amazon. Ordered three pack of DIN rail minis for $26.
Wired per diagram works great both forward and reverse.

Thank you all

I take it you got your 728VT working with the 0-10V spindle control board they offer? Did you hook it to the analog spindle output on the 7i76e? It seemed to me that using their addon board with the 7i76e would require a separate 10V source, but I haven't made it that far in my conversion yet.

I was going to completely omit the board and use the 7i76e analog control directly with the main spindle driver board pot wiring which is about 5V.

Yes its working as it should.
Follow the MESA directions for connecting to the spindle which will supply the 0-10 volts for speed control.
Use the above document to finish the remaining connections along with 1 relay.

Works great.

I used a cheap buck converter to go from 24v to 10v.  I might replace it at some point.
