Only half of Logitech 310 buttons showing up in Hal was created by Radneck
My old Logitech 310 stopped working so I bought a used one on ebay. All the buttons and hats on the used 310 work correctly using a windows based joypad test.
less /proc/bus/input/devices shows the new F310 correctly
Everything with "input.0.abs-XXXXX" shows up in HAL and works correctly
None of the "input.0.btn-XXXX" (like input.0.btn-thumb) pins are showing up ? I trield adding the permission to the /etc/udev/rules.d folder but it made no difference
I am running linuxcnc 2.9
Any ideas ?

Nevermind. The problem was the "X or D" button on the back of the controller was set to X
