5 Digital in's at once

Hi,

My mechanical engineer having a problem defining Pin 15 of parallel port as 'Digital in 4' (5th digital in)

Is it possible? If so what could be the problem?

4 is the default maximum number of digital inputs/outputs
(man motion) So it's likely stepconf is limited to this
number.

What I would do is:

1. Change the number of DIO by adding num_dio=N to the 
loadrt motmot line in the hal file, where N is the total number
of DIO needed (1..64)


2. Manually  add the net line linking parallel port pin 15 to digital in 4
(use a similar connections to DIO 0..3 as examples)
