Bumping an old thread is almost never the best way, especially as that topic had drifted.
Do you have any specific questions about your upgrade?

At first I didn't look close but there is no bump which make no sense to say your bumping an old thread...

You first need to find out what command inputs the drives can take, and
then which of those you want to use. Then we can advise further.

These drives probably can be set up for step/direction or velocity servo.bumping this year old thread to check for advice on upgrading stepper setup

the Minas drivers take step direction pulses,
planning to hook them up in open loop like a stepper.
i was trying to find out how fast the signals need to go
to get the motors going at their peak speeds (could not get much from the manual).
there are two inputs on the driver one for <500kpps (other can take upto 2Mpps)
i think i should be able to get 25-30kpps from emc
got to see if that will be juice enough for the motors.
guess i got to wire the signals to find out, just dont want to fry anything.
apologies for the non bump - bump

If you find that you need more than 30kpps then there are boards from Pico and Mesa that connect to the parallel port and supply MHz pulse rates.
