You are striping and wiring wires above them, those have lots of holes, a single very small piece of wire falling down can mess something up.
Cover them.
That is not a request, it is an order!

Had some time to make a bit of progress on the pendant.
downsizing the portion that held the CRT.
got the front panel from laser and bent up the tray.
The pc motherboard on the new swinging access door , still have to extend the wiring for the power supply.
where I left off for the night , just had the monitor running off my phone for a test , managed to lose a nut from one of my rotary switches.

managed to go out to the garage after work and after some time zone issues i got 2.9 updated , i used mesact to make a super simple config to start with , but now im getting a watchdog error , error report attached . does this have anything to do with the wiring of my smart serial cards ?

Watchdog error had to do with mesact needing a update.
Lots of Headway made , encoders scaled and drives tuned as best I can tune them for now , have some nice smooth motion happening. And full travel with no following error, still not a flat line in halshow but I can work on that.
Having trouble getting my spindle encoder to show rpm in gmocappy thats this evenings project.

Got the spindle encoder issue sorted so I have rpm display , also found out that the encoder scale needed to be negative as my a/b must be reversed , now have spindle synchronized motion working , time to put the guards back on and start some test cuts.
Ignore the backwards x move , I have been working on my lathe post and flipped my x around along the way.

For the first time in 15+ years the standard modern 1700 is cutting metal , got the tool changer sorted out and did some test cuts in plastic before making up a jt1 Arbour.
Hige shout out to the people around here for all their knowledge.
