My I/O doesn't show up on my 5i25/7i*7
Field power must be on for the I/O to work and the pins to show up.
Which driver should I use?
The one that matches your hardware. See the Integrators Manual for more info.
Where are the firmware libraries, I get an error saying there not found?
You probably don't have the firmwares installed. Use synaptic package manager to install 'emc2-firmware'. See the Integrators Manual for more info.
How are pins numbered in 50 pin cable for Mesa cards?
On the flat cable the wires are numbered 1,2,3,4,5 etc with the red wire being pin 1
on a 50 pin header the pins are numbered like this: (top view)
2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 28 30 32 34 36 38 40 42 44 46 48 50
1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15 17 19 21 23 25 27 29 31 33 35 37 39 41 43 45 47 49
The pin one end of the connector is marked with a white square or "PIN 1" text on our cards. Also if you look at the back of a card, pin one has a square pad.
Peter provided this list of compatible cards from Mesa some of which only have support in 2.5 or master.
50 pin I/O FPGA cards:
PCI 5I20, 5I22, 5I23, 6i68+3x20
USB/PARALLEL 7I43, 7I61
50 pin daughter cards/motor drives compatible with 50 pin FPGA cards:
