I came across something I thought might help someone one day. Helping a friend with some Copley step and direction drives he was going nuts as the machine would not follow the path but would end up always in position. Turns out if you try and go faster than the drive is configured for in RPM or acceleration the Copley drive will que up the step and direction inputs and dole them out as fast as configured. Also the drive configuration was maximum RPM and acceleration in RPM per second per second so the numbers didn't jump out at me at first. The solution was to make sure EMC velocity and acceleration was a bit below the drive settings.
