GE ECM motor as a drive motor for a lathe was created by abb
I have a 1 hp ge ecm motor with a burnt control module.
I would like to use this motor to drive the spindle of my lathe.
It is described as a big 3 phase stepper motor.

Any ideas how i could drive such a motor?
What sort of control circuit would work?
The circuits I have found have a limited voltage.
The motor can handle up to 240v.
If properly driven with a cog belt I should be able to have CNC threading.

Looks like a normal permanent magnet servo motor
Perhaps the Pico systems driver would work
