Hello!
I use 2x4i65 with 2x7i33TA and 2x7i37TA. Now I would use the 7i73 via 7i44.
Is it possible to combine these cards together? Is there a firmware to access the 7i73?
I have seen it is possible with a 7i25 but not with a 7i65.
After your OK, I will buy these Cards.
Thanks and have a nice day,
Thomas

It should be possible but would require new firmware.
What current firmware are you using?

Hi!
I use the firmware SVST8_4.BIT comes with 2.5.
Thanks a lot,
Thomas

OK do you current have both 7I33s connected to one 4I65?
and do you use any stepgens?
I am asking so I can figure out what is the least disruptive way to add the sserial support to your current boards (the 4I65 has a fairly small FPGA so I am limited in what I can cram into it)
If you are using a 7I33 per 4I65 and no stepgens then a SVSS4_8 config on one or both cards (4 servo + 8 sserial channels) is probably a workable solution

I have 1x7i33 and 1x7i37 on each 4i65.
I have not stepgens configured on the boards only the I/Os(7i37) are in use.
My favorite configuration:
4i65 0: 7i33 - 7i44 - 7i37
4i65 1: 7i33 - x - 7I37

OK so theres a pinout for this config (SVSS4_8) with one small change: its 7I33,7I37,7I44.
That is, the smart serial is on the last connector. I'll built s 4I65 version of this config sometime today or tommorow

[ 210.935924] hm2_pci: probe of 0000:04:00.0 failed with error -22
[ 211.148731] hm2: unloading
Is there anywhere sample configuration with the 7i73.
Have a nice evening,
Thomas
