When starting the GUI I now get the following messages:
I was searching for instructions how to update the cards but cant find usefull information.
Looks like theres a Tool calles "updatess" but couldnt find that either.

Maybe you have Information on the update procedure?

Those must be very old 7I70s,7I71s...

www.mesanet.com/software/parallel/sserial.tgz
has the update information and firmware files.

Yes the cards are quite old, I guess I bought them 2013/14.
Looks like theres the next problem with upating the cards.The README states that a version of at least 1.43 is necessary otherwise the FPGA card firmware needs to be updated first.

Akk! I'll update the 4I65 firmware (again...)

The 5I20/4I65 (basically same hardware)
are our oldest LinuxCNC supported cards
And I have not built firmware for them for
maybe 7 -8 years or so

 

Should have version 43 SSerial
