5i22+7i48+(3*7i37), LinuxCNC was created by xolotl4
Hi we are planing to develop a big iron for a steel tubing company, we will need 4 motion axis plus teach pendant and VFD analog outputs, i have experience with the 7i33 but now we need a couple of extra analog outputs. Would the 7i48 works in LinuxCNC (2.5)? is the driver mature or is a better option to use a second 5i22 with and extra 7i33?
Thanks.
Thanks.

How many analog outputs, encoders and I/O are needed for the whole system?
If you don't already have any hardware it may be better to start with a 5I25+7I77 as it is less expensive

In case that more of 16 outputs are required what will be the best second daughter cardfor the 5i25?

A 7I84 (that connects to the expansion connector of the 7I77) will add 32 more inputs and 16 more outputs. If only outputs are needed, a 7I71 (sourcing like the 7I77 outputs) or 7I72 (sinking) will add 48 more outputs. These also connect to the 7I77 expansion port. There are other options if more output current is needed or if AC loads must be switched.

SVST12_12_2X7I48 is available and will work with those cards (with the stepgen turned off and 6 servo channels only)
