5i25, 7i76 vs 7i76E

I am getting ready to put together a stepper motor plasma table this month using another set of Mesa cards.
I need to also build a new computer for the table.

The plan was to use a 7i76-5i25 kit and a THCAD.
It looks like the 7i80 is ready to use now so perhaps the 7i76E is also?

If so if a PCI slot is available for the 5i25, other than the cables is there any advantage to either set-up?
