Hi,
sorry for my english... :-)
I need to connect analog and encoder signals from MESA 7i77 to ISEL CVC496 .
Can I use cable UTP CAT5 E for encoders signals and also for analog signal?
A pair of twisted for A and /A, one for B and /B and one for IDX and /IDX, can I use also a twisted pair for Analog (+-10v) and GND? or it is better use a different cable?

Thank you
Best regards
Dino

CAT5 cable should be fine for encoders, (as long as its not subjected to much flexing)

I would not wire the analog signals in the same cable as the encoder signals. For
analog signals I would use a shielded pair with the shield terminated at the 7I77 end only.

But... I dont see that that drive has provisions for analog control (looks like CAN only)

I do not recommend the use of CAT5 cable. It will brake easily.
Try IGUS cables. They will sell you almost all measures and the cable is superb. Much better than having a broken cable.
